Lashon's Scarf

Made this scarf (knitted) for the nurse practitioner that works in our office. Beautiful turquoise.

Tie-dye hat

This lovely colorful yarn was donated by Jacks Creek yarn drive and I think the denim blue was as well. It worked nicely together. The pattern is my new favorite. It is on the Lion Brand yarn website and has Tweed in the title. I think it is Tweed beginners hat or something like that. Quick and easy. I'm thinking of teaching a beginning knitting class using this pattern.

Cindy's Red scarf

The idea of this blog was to post as soon as I finished something but I seem to finish late at night and go to sleep before posting. I also have several that just need to be whip stitched together and then I'm done. Result- I have a stack to upload and post tonight.

This is a scarf for a friend at work. I let her pick a color at Christmas and then couldn't get the yarn as it was sold out. So now I have the yarn and started getting them done.

Dish cloths

These are some of my mindless knitting that I carry around. I keep a bag of cotton yarn and thread when I want to do something but am too tired to have to think. They make great gifts.

Chunky bulky hat

This hat was made with some of the donated yarn from Jacks Creek Church of Christ. It is a knitted rolled brim child's hat that will be donated to St. Jude's. Take a look at the fun yarn!

This month's chemo caps

I finished one more crocheted cap for this month's donation to the cancer center. The second picture is this month's total that I made. We had over 150 this month. In the last two and a half years, this group I work with has donated 4,677 hats to St. Jude and other area chemo centers! My work is just a pebble in the pond.

Slouch hat

Funny story... I knitted this with two strands of yarn on huge needles (19s I think). When I finished knitting it and bound it off the needles, it was so loose it flattened out like a huge frisbee! Lol! I've included a picture of it in that state with my hand so you can chuckle along with me. In the spirit of "making lemonade", I turned this lemon into the cutest slouch hat by crocheting a band of solid black on the bottom to pull it in. It turned out rather cute I think. Sorry, I had to model it myself as my cute model was with her boyfriend tonight. It would have looked better on a younger person, especially with her pretty lighter hair. Oh well. Here is my ultra cute slouch hat that.... I set put to make from the very beginning....yeah....that's the ticket!

Welcome to Sherry's Creations 2012

I wanted a place to keep up with all the things I love making during this year. I did a better job of keeping up with what I made in 2011 than in the past but still didn't quite hit the mark like I wanted to. My friends are always asking to see pictures so I thought that this way I could do both...keep up with what I made and show pictures to Mom and Bffs and anyone else who may be interested.

I love creating and fully believe we are here to make a difference so many (most) of my creations are charity crafts or gifts. I have many passions and you will see a little bit of everything on here. If you have questions just let me know. I do make a lot of my own patterns but most everything I'll be happy to share where I got the pattern or the idea from.

I had intended to start with the new year and am getting a jump start a few days early but wanted to make sure I actually got it done and started the new year with some momentum. Hope you enjoy browsing and getting ideas for your own creative passions. I have lots of charities that I support but am always looking for more to spread the word about. Choose those that mean the most to you and support your local communities too!
